Job Description
- Review requested items for requisition and liaise with supervisors to determine the suitability of the material as well as identify and / or track overdue material requests.
- Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.
- Familiar with construction material and specification.
- Monitoring and preparation of purchasing related reports.
- Communicate and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
- Maintain and update supplier information such as track record, experience, product lines etc.
- Maintain records of all purchases, pricing and other important data
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years as Purchaser or related position
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel etc.)
- Excellent in verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
