Principal Responsibilities
- Lead and build a high performing financial reporting function that can support regulatory reporting and accounting control efficiently within a consistent governance framework.
- Ensure appropriate accounting applications and drive implementation of new accounting standards, regulatory reporting guidance and Group accounting policies.
- Drive business performance and support senior management to make sound business making by providing insightful financial performance analytics and highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Ensure accuracy and data integrity in the end-to-end financial reporting process and regulatory process by ensuring compliance with the internal control requirement and assessing adequacy in the changing environment.
- Drive reengineering and transformation of financial reporting processes to support reporting and contribute to timely management decision making and strategy formulation.
- Ensure proactive management of controllable cost base.
- Support business propositions to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and financial and regulatory reporting and disclosure.
- Ensure full engagement with other Finance functions within the Group.
- Cultivate an environment that supports diversity and inclusion.
Requirements
- University degree in related discipline, with a recognized professional accounting qualification
- Minimum of eight years’ experience in finance, preferably in a banking environment. (Candidates with lesser years of experience may also apply for the Assistant Manager role).
- Experience in exposure across multiple finance disciplines including financial accounting and reporting, business information and analysis, asset and capital management and change management will be an advantage.
- Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Able to work under pressure.
