The Base Maintenance Assistant Manager / Executive (Planning and Production Control) resides within Base Maintenance Planning. Reporting to the Base Maintenance Manager (Production Control), he/she will assist to ensure material fulfilment required for the aircraft checks in the hangars. He/she will also assist to engage various stakeholders (including customers, suppliers, vendors and colleagues from supporting shops and business units) to ensure the delivery of aircraft parts and spares for the aircraft checks.
Responsibilities
- Support the manager in the areas of material support for aircraft checks.
- Engage stakeholders (including customers, suppliers, vendors and colleagues from Procurement, supporting shops, etc) to ensure the delivery of aircraft parts and spares for the aircraft checks.
- Review material requirements for hangar checks; identify material shortages for the checks with prompt follow-up actions to meet the check requirements.
- Identify process gaps in material support; propose and execute improvement initiatives with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist to prepare and report in relevant forums on material support for aircraft checks.
- Participate in progress meetings to review critical material requirements and shortages to minimise impact to check progress.
- Carryout any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or relevant quantitative disciplines
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in the aerospace MRO industry. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong analytical with good problem-solving skillsets.
- Good project management skills, with result-oriented and continuous improvement mindset.
- Effective collaboration, communication and stakeholders’ management skills, with a proven ability to influence and drive changes among different operational and business stakeholders.
