The retail assistant, reporting to the Retail Manager and Supervisors, is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by embracing the brand's vision and standards. Available in both part-time and full-time contract positions, the role involves key duties such as sales, service, and floor maintenance, operating the POS system and processing transactions with accuracy. Additional responsibilities include capturing and selling souvenir photos, assisting in inventory management, and serving beverages and baked goods. Flexibility in working hours, physical capability to handle merchandise, and strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, with a focus on adaptability, a positive attitude, and achieving results in a dynamic retail environment.


Responsibiities - sales & service, floor presence and maintenance, back of house support

  • Embrace the Harry Potter Visions of Magic experience, following training guidelines and expected standard to reflect brand image
  • Provide excellent customer service, demonstrate great selling skills and show motivation to succeed
  • Perform cashier duties - operating POS and handling credit card transactions at a fast pace, whilst maintaining accuracy.
  • Capturing, processing and selling of souvenir photos -full training provided
  • Assist in stock room maintenance and inventory processing ready for shop floor-tagging, pricing, folding, restocking.
  • Serving cold drinks and baked goods from the take-away Butterbeer counter
  • Maintain regular cleaning rota for shop floor and Butterbeer counter
  • Assist in adhoc tasks as requested by the retail manager


Personal profile

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings
  • Knowledge of retail POS systems preferred
  • A minimum of 1 years related retail experience
  • Must be able to perform all retail functions including standing for extended periods of time, lift/push/pull 10-15kg cartons of retail merchandise and assist in unloading shipments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and great customer service experience
  • Willing to work in and promote a team orientated environment, show a positive attitude and take responsibility and ownership of own actions
  • Must be results driven and flexible to change and covering various roles and task within the retail team
