The Retail Supervisor is responsible for supporting and cover the manager on the day-to-day operations of the Retail Operations. They will at times be required to open and/or close the store, manage scheduling and daily retail operations, ensure the retail team delivers top-flight customer service to all visitors.
The ideal candidate has a minimum GCE’O’ Level, proven experience in retail and/or F&B store operations, strong leadership skills, excellent computer knowledge, the physical ability to perform this job, and knows how to “listen and lead.” They must have a dynamic personality and must be able to motivate a team.
Role Responsibilities

- Provide excellent customer service skills, great selling skills and show motivation to succeed.
- Carry out end of day reporting routine.
- Perform cashier duties at a fast pace while maintaining accuracy.
- Manage staff scheduling – shifts and break times – with Retail Manager
- Train new team members as required
- Delegating staff roles and assigning shop floor positions to maximize team skills. Promote a strong sense of teamwork.
- Work closely with the sales staff to maintain the sales area, both merchandise and the physical space, photo op and Butterbeer counter.
- Ensure staff uniforms and presentation are up to standard.
- Beginning of shift/day: Arrive on selling floor ready, ensure floor is ready for customers.
- End of shift/day: Ensure selling floor is replenished and ready for the next day.
- Inventory site checks. Ensuring product in store and storage is well maintained and accounted for correctly with cycle stock takes.
- Capturing, editing, selling and printing of souvenir photographs – full training provided
- Preparing and selling Butterbeer and pastries
- Any other tasks as assigned by Retail Manager.
Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years retail management experience
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, weekends and evenings.
- Preferably has a food safety hygiene certification
- Knowledge and experience of POS systems
- Must be able to perform all retail and F&B floor functions.
- Stock/retrieve merchandise, lift/push/pull 10 - 15 kgs and unload shipments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective communication with all management and staff.
- Willing to work in and promote a team-oriented environment, show a positive attitude & take responsibility for own action
- Computer literacy and confidence, particularly with Excel
- Strong eye for detail and numbers
