Responsibilities
- Working with the design/engineering team on a range of sports products
- Conducting iterative prototyping and testing
- Developing assembly strategies
- Undergoing detailed mechanical engineering work to develop mass manufacturable products
- Following products through production processes and managing issues
Requirements
- BSc/ MSc in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 2 years experience working in product design engineering
- Experience and comfort with stack up and tolerancing
- Experience with designing for mass manufacturing processes - injection moulding, die casting are must
- Experience designing for drop testing, vibration and shock
- Comfortable working with Solidworks
- Fearless, inquisitive nature and the ability to discuss and develop ideas and concepts
- Unafraid to ask questions, raise concerns, disagree with the majority, and offer an opinion
- A desire to be challenged and to learn new skills
- A hands on and immersive approach to product development
- Experience with high trauma/impact design, thermal design - heat sinking and internal temperature management will be a plus
- Knowledge of optical systems - lens and camera systems is a plus
