Key responsibilities :
- Project Planning and Management
- Lead the planning and execution of interior fit-out projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation and risk management strategies.
- Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring that milestones are met, and any issues are promptly addressed.
2. Site Management
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring that work is carried out according to the project schedule, quality standards and safety regulations at all times.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality; identify any potential issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
3. Team Collaboration
- You will be an integral member of the project team and company organisation, working in close coordination with other team members, including cost managers, designers and operational colleagues.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to the team in resolving technical challenges and making informed decisions.
4. Client and Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the construction phase, addressing any concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the project outcome.
- Work closely with client consultants to ensure that the construction work aligns with the client’s vision and design specifications.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and Building Management, ensuring that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and that the project complies with local building codes and regulations.
5. Health and Safety Compliance
- Develop and Implement Safety Plans: design comprehensive site-specific safety plans, including risk assessments, emergency response procedures, and hazard identification, tailors to the unique requirements of each project.
- Regulatory Compliance: ensure full compliance with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and any other relevant laws. Regular review and update safety policies to align with the latest standards.
- Safety Inductions and Training: implement a site induction process, and conduct regular safety training sessions and toolbox talks for all site personnel, including subcontractors, ensuring everyone is aware of safety protocols, equipment usage and emergency procedures.
- Incident Reporting and Investigation: oversee the reporting and thorough investigation of any safety incidents or near-misses on site. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and ensure lessons learnt are communicated to the entire team.
- Safety Audits: conduct frequent, unannounced safety audits and inspections of the construction site to proactively identify and mitigate risks. Work closely with safety offices / safety consultants to enforce safety standards rigorously.
- Safety Communication: lead daily safety briefings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety culture on-site. Ensure that safety signage, personal protective equipment (PPE), and first-aid suppliers are readily available and correctly used.
- Subcontractor Safety Management: collaborative with subcontractors to ensure they adhere to the company’s safety standards. Review their safety plans and method statements, and conduct joint safety meetings to align expectations.
- Health and Well-being: promote a holistic approach to safety, including the physical and mental well-being for all workers on site.
- Emergency Preparedness: develop and regularly test emergency response plans, including evacuation drills. Ensure that all workers are familiar with emergency procedures.
- Documentation and Reporting: maintain accurate and comprehensive records of safety-related activities, including training logs, inspection reports, and incident reports.
6. Quality Control and Assurance
- Ensure that all construction work meets the company’s quality standards and the client’s expectations.
- Implement quality control processes, including regular inspections and testing of materials and workmanship
