Position Overview: The Technical Solution Specialist will play a crucial role within the commercial/business development team. This position is responsible for developing technical solutions for bidding projects, creating technical method statements and drawings, and delivering comprehensive services and equipment solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Solution Development:
- Collaborate with the commercial/business development team to develop innovative and competitive technical solutions for bidding projects.
- Prepare detailed technical method statements, drawings, and integrated service and equipment solutions to meet project requirements.
Bid Review and Analysis:
- Thoroughly review and understand bidding employer’s requirement documents, project specifications, and process data.
- Translate employer requirements into effective contractor solutions that align with project goals.
Market Monitoring and Adjustment:
- Continuously monitor market trends and adjustments to ensure tender documents remain competitive and relevant.
- Implement improvements in the tender process to enhance the company’s market position and competitiveness.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with various department stakeholders to gather necessary information for bidding proposals.
- Consolidate and integrate collected information into comprehensive bid proposals.
Internal Reporting and Management Approval:
- Conduct detailed internal reporting of tender solutions to secure management approval for bid submissions.
- Provide timely and accurate updates on bid progress to the tender manager.
Commercial Bid Support:
- Support the tender manager in developing commercial bid solutions and engaging with the market as required.
- Participate in market visits to assess and incorporate subcontractor solutions into the company’s proposals.
Subcontractor Solution Review:
- Evaluate subcontractor technical solutions to ensure alignment with project requirements and company standards.
- Integrate subcontractor solutions into the company’s bid proposals effectively.
Requirements
· Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or a related field.
· Fluency in both oral and written English and Chinese languages is required
- Prior experience and knowledge in offshore wind projects is highly desirable and will be given preference.
- Proven experience in technical solution development, preferably within a commercial/business development context.
- Strong understanding of bidding processes, tender documentation, and market trends.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
