About the Role:
We are seeking a junior Accountant to join our Singapore Finance team on a 1-year contract basis (with possibility of extension depending on business needs). The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of GST and legal compliance requirements and be proficient in data collection for audit requests.
This role is ideal for an early-career finance professional looking to build foundational accounting skills in a supportive environment. Work will be closely supervised by a senior staff, with frequent feedback and opportunities for learning.
Work Location: Hybrid – Singapore (Ang Mo Kio office)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with GST reporting for Brooks US & Brooks Singapore entities including data entry of GST invoices.
- Support all accounting functions as required, including processing employee expense claims. and other A/P invoices (Oracle Cloud).
- Provide administrative support as needed. e.g. filing and scanning documents.
- Data collection for audit requests.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and ensure compliance with standard accounting practices and procedures.
- Resolve basic accounting issues under close supervision.
- Maintain attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance with 2-4 years’ experience in handling full sets of accounts.
- Good understanding of and experience in GST matters.
- Web-based accounting software experience (SAP/ Oracle etc.) preferable.
- High attention to detail with a passion for numbers.
- Ability to follow established processes and adapt to company-specific practices.
