Astek has an opening of a Auxiliary Systems Lead Engineer role for one of our project based in Singapore.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Electrification Projects: Manage engineering and design tasks for electrification projects, including completing design deliverables and coordinating with clients, consultants, and vendors.
- Package Lead for Electrical Systems: Oversee the design and execution of electrical packages such as Battery Chargers, ACDB, DCDB, Stinger, Emergency Tripping Systems, Interface Terminal Boards, and Optical Distribution Frames.
- Support Design Manager: Assist in preparing load lists, sizing calculations, evaluating suppliers, and designing panel layouts.
- Customer and Site Testing: Participate in customer and site acceptance testing, ensuring all design and quality action items are resolved.
- Value-Added Engineering: Develop and propose innovative engineering solutions to enhance project value.
- Tender Support: Provide system engineering support for bids and tenders.
- Collaborate with AG: Work with AG design teams to meet customer requirements, verify designs, and handle submissions.
- Coordinate with Project Teams: Collaborate with project, testing, and commissioning teams, and manage interfaces with various partners.
Requirements:
- Strong Electrical Engineering Foundation: Solid background in electrical engineering with expertise in traction power systems and local project experience.
- Experience: At least 8 years in electrification and infrastructure projects, specifically for MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) systems.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in AC and DC electrification systems, including control and protection systems, battery chargers, and AC distribution boards.
- Complex Project Handling: Experience in managing medium to high-complexity solution projects.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with local transportation operators and legal requirements.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to various working environments and customer terms and conditions.
- Communication Skills: Strong communicator, effective at all organizational levels and with both new and existing customers.
