Job Summary

  • This headcount is part of the CMPS (Capital Markets Products and Sales) Team focusing on offering Direct Access service (DACS) to Private Banking clients.
  • DACs team offer a bespoke FX margin trading service to sophisticated private banking clients who are active in the asset class.
  • Responsible for driving DACS revenue, providing proactive advisory directly to clients including idea generation, margin & risk management and execution support.
  • Work closely with Private Bank Front Office in new DACS clients prospecting.
  • Providing backup support to team in ensuring continual client coverage.
  • Ensuring compliance with all internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining good relationship and to work closely with internal and external stakeholders including the front, middle and back offices.
  • Providing support to ad hoc projects in relation to specific aspects of desk activities.

  • Ensure awareness of execution processes and deliver quality execution service. Ability to identify and suggest ways of enhancements to existing processes.

  • To proactively manage risk for both bank and clients

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Degree(s) in relevant subjects such as Business, Economics and Finance related preferred.
  • 7 plus years experience in a bank with FX margin trading experience.
  • Experience in FX margin trading, with experience in direct handling of PB clients preferred.
  • Proficiency in mandarin is preferred, as the role will require regular interaction with Chinese clients.
  • Ability to work with a high level of attention to details to ensure quality trade execution.
  • Required to perform holiday duties & early shifts.
  • Ability to work under a fast paced environment.
  • Good in internal and external stakeholders management.
  • Strong work ethic with high level of self-motivation and initiative.
  • RNF and CACS holder is required.
  • CMFAS Qualifications is required - Paper 1A or 1B, 5, 6, 6A, 8, 8A as well as CACS 1, CACS 2 and FMRP.
  • Basic analytical and technical skills that can be practically applied to day-to-day operations.
