Legal Counsel, Energy (1 Year Renewable Contract), 2-5PQE
Kerry Consulting is currently working on a junior legal counsel position with a large US listed Energy company. This is a great opportunity for a junior lawyer with litigation and or/M&A experience to transit into an in-house role.
Responsibilities
As a legal counsel of the team, you will be providing legal assistance on disputes and investigations and liaising with external counsels to ensure that these matters are handled in a timely manner. Apart from disputes matters, you will also be providing legal support on corporate and commercial matters including but not limited to mergers & acquisitions and joint ventures across the region. You will also be taking an active approach in leading technology initiative across the legal teams and assist in training the teams on new updates.
Requirements
You should be a Singapore qualified lawyer within minimally 3-5 years PQE. Candidates from private practice are encouraged to apply for this role. You should also possess demonstrated experience in providing high-quality, timely, and client-focused legal support. You should have the ability to handle, evaluate, and assess complex and challenging issues, effectively managing a high volume of diverse tasks. Strong ethical standards and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality are essential. Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must, along with a high level of motivation and a self-starting attitude.
