Business Environment and Complexity

Nurasa is in the early phase of executing the strategy so the team will need to be operate with the agility and culture like that of a startup. Individuals needs to be comfortable with ambiguity, but operate with a high level of accountability including operating outside of his/her job description to ensure the collective success of Nurasa.

The Strategic Project Manager is involved in managing diverse stakeholder relationships, ensuring strategic alignment with company goals, navigating market dynamics and regulatory requirements, and effectively structuring and negotiating deals. It also includes facilitating innovation and collaboration across different organizational cultures, monitoring partnership performance, and managing cross-functional projects. This complexity demands adaptability, strategic thinking, and strong skills in negotiation, relationship management, and performance evaluation.

Job Purpose

To lead the development and management of strategic partnerships, driving growth, innovation, and value creation. The role involves building and maintaining multi-stakeholder relationships, providing strategic inputs to support our portfolio companies' development, and anchoring our innovation platform through effective partnerships. This position supports the acceleration of sustainable nutrition through impactful collaborations.

Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Partnership Strategy and Planning:

  • Support the identification and prioritization of potential strategic partners, including manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, retailers, and institutions, to drive value creation for the Nurasa innovation platform in alignment with strategic objectives

2. Partnership Activation and Execution:

  • Lead cross-functional project teams and oversee the execution and implementation of partnership initiatives on-time-in-full (OTIF).

3. Relationship Management:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships, and understanding the needs and priorities of our partners.

4. Deal Structuring and Negotiation:

  • Lead negotiations and structuring of partnership agreements, including revenue-sharing arrangements and mutually beneficial value propositions.

5. Innovation and Collaboration:

  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and co-innovation with strategic partners by leveraging available expertise, resources, and networks. Support pilot projects and proof-of-concepts that align with our innovation and sustainability goals.

6. Portfolio Companies Development:

  • Provide strategic insights and direction to support the development of portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with market trends and the organizational goals. The role involves identifying and evaluating new opportunities within the industry. Drive growth and innovation within portfolio companies by providing strategic insights and leadership in understanding market dynamics, crafting strategic plans, conducting financial analysis, and managing stakeholder relationships.

7. Innovation Platform Anchoring:

  • Drive initiatives that anchor our innovation platform, ensuring that partnerships contribute to long-term sustainability and competitive advantage. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate partnership outcomes into the overall innovation strategy.

Know-how and Competency Requirements

Minimum Relevant Experience:

  • Proven experience in strategic partnership management in a global context, preferably within the food technology or related sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of the food technology industry and its key players, with a strong understanding of sustainable nutrition trends. Understanding of the precision fermentation market is a must.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying, developing, and managing multi-stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience in negotiating and structuring complex partnership agreements, including revenue-sharing models.
  • Track record of driving growth and innovation through strategic partnerships and collaboration.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating partnership performance, including tracking key metrics and KPIs.
  • Background in managing cross-functional projects and overseeing partnership execution.

Minimum Supervisory Experience:

  • 2 years

Minimum Academic Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, Bio Science, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Business Management or related qualification or experience.

  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills to align partnerships with organizational goals.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage diverse stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Ability to understand and integrate complex market dynamics and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in project management to ensure timely and effective implementation of partnership initiatives.
  • Skills in identifying and leveraging opportunities for co-innovation and collaboration.
  • Capability to monitor performance and provide insights for continuous improvement.
