Position Overview:
As a post Fixture Executive Executive, you will play a vital role in operational aspects for fleet vessels. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work in a dynamic and challenging environment to ensure the seamless execution of voyages from pre-fixture to post-fixture stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Vessel: Involve in daily vessel operations to maintain safety and efficiency standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Work alongside Operation Manager to ensure vessels' safe operation in compliance with industry regulations and in-house procedures.
- Charter Party Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to charter party requirements, company procedures, and all operational information between vessels, brokers, Charterers, and agents.
- Voyage Performance: Monitor and record voyage performance, including off-hire, stoppages, and delays.
- Port Planning Assistance: Check loading/discharging ports planning and collaborate with ship-managers to meet loading/discharging port requirements and monitor hold cleanliness.
- Bunker Arrangement: Assist the bunker desk in arranging bunkers at designated ports to enhance voyage efficiency.
- Contractual Knowledge: Gain a comprehensive understanding of charter parties, ship-management contracts, and related agreements.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Assist and liaise with the Chartering team regarding vessel information, certification, scheduling, and other pre and post fixture support.
- Loss Prevention: Contribute to loss prevention efforts and risk mitigation strategies.
- Insurance Support: Provide support in managing insurance coverage and assist in liaising with underwriters and claim handlers.
- Claims Assistance: Assist in the negotiation and timely response to claims and problem-solving efforts.
- Dispute Resolution: Support in handling disputes with Charterers and utilize the guidance of defence clubs as appropriate.
- Efficiency Enhancement: Participate in proposing workflow improvements to optimize resource utilization and efficiency.
- Performance Monitoring: Prepare vessels performance reports for management review.
- Industry Involvement: Attend meetings, seminars, and conferences with the guidance of senior team members to represent the company in the industry.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Willingly take on additional responsibilities assigned by senior team members.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma in Maritime or a related educational qualification.
- A willingness to learn and develop in the field of bulk carrier operations.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic proficiency in industry-specific software and systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and competitive maritime environment.
Reporting Line:
The Post Fixture Executive reports to the Operations Manager.
