Roles & Responsibilities
1. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with Singapore's safety and health regulations, including company Workplace Safety and Health policy, and Ministry of Manpower regulations. Ensure the company's operations adhere to these standards.
2. Safety Plans: Maintain and reinforce company safety plans and procedures specific to elevator installation and maintenance within construction sites and live building.
3. Risk Assessment: Identify potential safety hazards associated with elevator work and construction sites. Assess risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
4. Training: Conduct safety training programs for employees, subcontractors, and other relevant stakeholders. Ensure that all workers are aware of safety protocols and procedures.
5. Inspections: Regularly inspect equipment, tools, and work areas to identify and rectify safety issues for compliance with safety standards.
6. Incident Response: Produce incident response plans, including procedures for reporting accidents and near-misses. Investigate accidents and incidents, and recommend corrective actions.
7. Safety Equipment: Ensure that appropriate safety equipment, such as personal protective gear and emergency response equipment, is available and in good condition.
8. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of safety-related activities, including incident reports, safety training records, and safety equipment inspections.
9. Safety Audits: Conduct and support for all safety audits to assess compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Implement improvements based on audit findings.
10. Emergency Preparedness: Maintain and improve emergency response plans for elevator-related emergencies during installation, testing & commissioning and maintenance, and ensure employees are trained in executing these plans.
11. Communication: Promote a culture of safety within the company on regular basic communicating safety messages and encouraging employee involvement in safety initiatives.
12. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, sub-contractors and other stakeholder to integrate safety measures into project plans and ensure that safety is a priority at every stage of construction.
13. Reporting: Report safety performance and compliance to relevant authorities and management.
Requirement
a. Candidate must possess Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health, Risk Management.
b. Candidate must possess Manage Work at height certification.
c. First Aid certified is an advantage.
d. Must be well-versed in all OSH dictations, focused on prevention thus, need to be diligent and analytical as well as possess a keen eye for detail and a sensitivity for any potential dangers in order to support the creation of a healthy and safe workplace.
e. Ensures that safety procedures are effectively communicated and implemented.
f. Strong sense of responsibility & time management.
g. Strong coordination skills & detail oriented.
