Job Description
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for sourcing raw materials, components, and services related to PCBA and box-build manufacturing.
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service capabilities.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery times, and cost-effectiveness, and take corrective actions when necessary.
Procurement Operations
- Oversee the daily procurement activities, ensuring timely and accurate purchasing of materials and components.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to forecast material requirements and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or excesses.
Manage purchase orders, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and aligned with company policies.
Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of materials and manage any issues related to shipping, customs, or warehousing.
Cost Management & Budgeting
- Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices.
Analyze market trends and pricing fluctuations to identify opportunities for cost savings.
Implement cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining the quality and reliability of supply.
Monitor and report on procurement expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and support team members in achieving their objectives.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of procurement experience in the electronics manufacturing industry, with specific expertise in PCBA and box-build operations.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost-reduction initiatives.
