Accounts Executive

Role Purpose

This role reports directly to the Regional Controller, based in Singapore. The Accounts Executive position will handle complete sets of accounting, including GL, AP, AR, audit and taxation support for the business across the region.


Further details on responsibilities:


General Ledger

  • To perform a full set of accounting for two legal entities and complete reporting deliverables, adhering to the global month-end close calendar.

Accounts Payable

  • Check, verify and enter vendors' invoices into the accounting system, ensuring that all supporting documents and approval are complete.
  • Prepare monthly payment batches for local & overseas vendors, intercompany settlement, and reimbursement of employees' claims.
  • Prepare payment vouchers and perform all required postings in the system
  • Accounts Payable reconciliation
  • Follow up with vendors for any payment issues.

Accounts Receivable

  • Monitor bank statements and apply customer payments against AR records.
  • Follow up with customers for overdue AR.
  • Perform bank reconciliations for each month's end.

Others

  • Liaise with external parties (audit and tax support, vendors)
  • Other accounting-related tasks / projects assigned by the manager from time to time.


Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience managing a complete set of accounting, accounts payable functions and accounts receivable, preferably in an MNC environment.
  • The ability to read and write Malay or Bahasa language will be an added advantage due to the requirement of handling stakeholders and documentation in their local languages.
  • To be able to complete tasks within the corporate deadlines.
  • Prior experience in ERP systems like SAP will be an added advantage.
  • Meticulous, organised and process-oriented.
  • A strong team player capable of operating independently in a team environment.
  • Willing to take on additional responsibilities when required.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
