Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial analysis.
- General Ledger and Reconciliation:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Reconcile bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and resolve discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Review and approve payment vouchers and journal entries.
- Monitor cash flow and manage working capital.
- Compliance and Taxation:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal accounting and tax regulations.
- Prepare and submit tax filings, including VAT/GST, income tax, and other statutory returns.
- Assist with audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Support to Finance Team:
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Assist in special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-6 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
