Job Description
Conduct daily Tool Box meeting, exercise and record keeping.
Attending of monthly Safety Committee Meeting.
Conduct daily site inspection to identify the unsafe act and unsafe condition to meet legal & other requirement.
Assist WSHO to conduct daily coordination meeting addressing sub cons & internal works WSH non-conformance andmitigate the unsafe acts to meet legal and other requirements.
Site checking on permit to work applicant to ensure that all safety provisions are in place.
Ensure safe work procedures had been followed by respective trade.
Ensure preventive maintenance had been carried out for machinery on site.
Issuing of EHS instruction and administrative charges for safety violation.
Assist WSHO in site accident/ incident investigation.
Conducting of Safety orientation course for new workers on site.
Assist WSHO to handling of external safety audit.
Conduct Risk Assessment.
Conduct periodically briefing Risk Assessment and Safe Work Procedure to the work force.
Requirements
Registered Workplace Health and Safety Officer certified by MOM with a valid registration.
· Specialist Diploma in WSH or other degrees as mandated by the Ministry of Manpower.
· At least 10 years of experience implementing a workplace health, safety and environment (HSE) management system in a marine shipyard or related industry
· Good knowledge of WSH Act and other statutory requirements and codes of practice.
· Well-versed with emergency response and fire protection systems including testing and inspection.
· Good communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, able to multi-task. A team player with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
