Responsibilities
- To liaise with suppliers for solar panel mounting components, materials and procurement products from both local and overseas.
- Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating skills to secure best price, payment terms, lead time and ensure on time delivery.
- Work closely with suppliers on delivery scheduling, quality issues, component specifications and certification requirements.
- Work closely with engineers for each project requirements on delivery scheduling, component specifications and certification requirements as well as inform them on the delivery schedule timely.
- Manage and monitor project costings closely to achieve cost savings and ensure the accuracy project costings.
- Manage the turnaround time for inventory and storage space. Ensure sufficient stock for emergency usage.
- Work closely with logistics vendors to secure most suitable shipment schedule and best price while ensuring on time delivery.
- Try to optimize the shipment frequency by consolidating shipment for a few projects to reduce cost and liaising work
- Liaise with clients for solar panel delivery and payment matters
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in procurement and/or logistics function
- Some technical knowledge in solar / electrical component is a plus.
- Familiar with TT / LC payment methods will be a plus
- Team player with strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
