A Chemical European MNC has an opening for a Research Administrator.
Responsibility:
a) Inventory management support
- Upkeep and maintain sufficient supplies of common laboratory chemical and consumables
- Maintain up-to-date chemical and consumable inventory
- Purchase packaging materials, raw ingredients for formulations, consumables and laboratory chemical
b) Waste management support
- Initiate and coordinate disposal of unwanted, obsolete chemicals and generated waste in the laboratory and waste disposal documentation
c) Site maintenance and safety support
- Filing of MSDS and uploading onto Company’s SharePoint
- Upkeep laboratory infrastructure (e.g. lightings, fittings, plumbing, air handling, firefighting equipment, first aid, etc)
- Keep track of equipment preventive maintenance and/or calibration timeline
- Liaise with equipment vendors for scheduled PM on site
- Liaise with building owner for issues with labs and vendors for facility maintenance
d) General administration:
- Create purchase order
- Packing of parcels and UPS documentation for shipment of parcels
- Weekly lab scheduling
Technical-related Support :
- Attending to request of feature formulations from Sales and Marketing
- Formulation scale-up, sample preparation and prototype packing
Requirement:
- Diploma related to applied chemistry, chemical engineering, chemical process technology or equivalent.
- Proven experience liaising with vendors and contractors for facilities repair and maintenance work.
