Role Overview:
We’re looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Construction Manager to oversee the execution of construction projects from start to finish. This role involves managing the construction, installation, and assembly of various components, ensuring all activities are completed to the highest standards while complying with regulatory and legislative requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, and will thrive in a dynamic on-site environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of projects, optimizing resource use to achieve successful completion within set schedules and budgets.
- Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and timelines.
- Monitor deliverables and manage subcontractors and suppliers to meet deadlines, safety standards, and quality expectations.
- Ensure all work aligns with the company's quality standards and contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and consultants to address all project-related matters.
- Guide engineers, supervisors, and foremen to meet client and regulatory requirements, while upholding environmental, safety, and health practices.
- Coordinate site housekeeping by managing responsibilities across site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Take on additional duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A recognized Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of practical working experience, with at least 5 years in Construction Management on Building Projects with a Main Contractor.
- Certificate in Construction Safety Course for Project Managers.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage time effectively, analyze complex situations, and present solutions clearly.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and a positive work attitude.
- A proven team player with the ability to lead, motivate, and manage diverse, multi-functional, and multicultural project teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
