As an Audit Associate, you will play a critical role in assisting the audit team in the execution of audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. This position is ideal for individuals who are analytical, detail-oriented, and have a strong interest in financial reporting and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing audit engagements in accordance with applicable standards and timelines.
- Perform audit procedures, including testing of financial statement line items, evaluating internal controls, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Prepare audit work papers that document audit procedures, findings, and conclusions in a clear and organized manner.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with IFRS, GAAP, or other relevant frameworks.
- Collaborate with clients to obtain necessary information and documentation to support audit findings.
- Identify and communicate potential issues and areas for improvement to senior audit team members.
- Participate in discussions with clients regarding audit findings and recommendations.
- Stay updated on industry developments and changes in auditing standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by working effectively with team members and supporting colleagues as needed.
- Adhere to the firm's quality control policies and procedures and maintain the confidentiality of client information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) or working towards obtaining it is preferred.
- Prior internship or work experience in audit, accounting, or related fields is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements.
