On behalf of our client, a prominent leader in the global grain trading industry, we are seeking a motivated and experienced dry bulk assistant manager to join their dynamic team. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the rapidly expanding food supply needs within the Asia-Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain robust relationships within Southeast Asia to secure a reliable grain supply network and generate profits through effective trading strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the client’s global network of grain exporters to identify and seize trading opportunities, thereby enhancing the company’s competitive edge in the global market.
- Oversee the execution of trading operations, including cash and futures trades, and manage logistics for bulk cargo and containers to ensure price competitiveness.
- Implement risk management strategies and ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Serve as the primary contact for contract execution, negotiating and settling within established guidelines.
Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 3–5 years of business experience, preferably in bulk cargo and/or commodity trade.
- Willingness to travel 20% of the time.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Resourceful and analytical with a keen attention to detail.
