RETAIL SUPERVISOR

The Retail Supervisor is vital to maintaining the seamless operation of the company's retail showroom and lounges.

This multifaceted role involves supervising day-to-day activities, including carefully managing inventory to guarantee ideal stock levels, guiding retail assistants to uphold the best customer service standards, delivering exceptional service to VIP clients directly, and coordinating compelling in-store events to elevate the overall customer experience


- Position required:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in the fine wine or luxury goods industry.
  3. Strong understanding of fine wine products and customer preferences.
  4. Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing exceptional service to VIP customers.
  5. Ability to manage and motivate a team of Retail Assistants.
  6. Strong organisational and time management skills.

  2. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to retail operations, inventory management, and customer service.

  4. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business needs and customer preferences

- Key Responsibilities:

Retail Showroom Management:

  1. Operations: Ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the retail showroom and lounges. This involves maintaining cleanliness, organisation, visual and auditive appeal, as well as overseeing the overall customer experience in the showroom and lounges area.
  2. Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of wine products to ensure adequate stock levels. This will involve conducting regular stock checks, monitoring sales trends, and implementing strategies to prevent stockouts. Merchandising: To create visually appealing displays and merchandising strategies to promote fine wine sales. This includes designing attractive product displays, implementing promotional activities, and collaborating with the marketing team to drive customer engagement and boost sales.

Team Management:

  1. Supervision: Monitor and supervise the day-to-day activities of Retail Assistants, offering continuous guidance, thorough training, and constructive performance feedback to ensure the highest-quality customer service.
  2. Scheduling: Develop and maintain efficient employee schedules to guarantee optimal coverage and support for the store’s operational needs.
  3. Team Development: To enhance overall team effectiveness and cultivate a nurturing and thriving work environment for the retail team by promoting collaboration, fostering individual growth, and encouraging open communication


VIP Customer Service:

  1. VIP Relations: Establish and nurture long-lasting connections with VIP customers by offering personalised services and addressing their needs and preferences. This involves recognising their preferences and providing tailored service to meet their expectations.
  2. VIP Events: Conceptualise, plan, and execute exclusive VIP events, including fine wine tastings, private parties, and unique experiences tailored to the tastes and interests of our VIP clientele. This includes coordinating with vendors, venues, and logistics to ensure seamless and memorable events.
  3. Customer Feedback: Systematically gather and analyse customer feedback through surveys, focus groups, and one-on-one interactions to identify areas for improvement and continually enhance the overall customer experience. This involves interpreting and utilising customer feedback to make strategic business decisions and drive improvements across the customer journey.


In Store Events:

  1. Event Planning: Coordinate and plan in-store events, such as fine wine tastings, product launches, and educational seminars. This involves creating event schedules and timelines, selecting appropriate venues, and coordinating with vendors and suppliers.
  2. Event Execution: Manage all logistics, such as setting up and dismantling event spaces, coordinating staffing requirements, and overseeing the production of promotional materials and event-specific collateral to ensure the successful execution of events.
  3. Event Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of events through attendee feedback, sales data, and other relevant metrics. Use this information to generate insightful reports and recommend future improvements, such as modifying event formats, adjusting promotional strategies, or refining logistical processes


Reporting:

  1. Daily Report: Provide comprehensive reports to the CEO highlighting the day's sales performance, current inventory levels, and customer feedback. This information is crucial for the CEO to stay informed about daily operations and make strategic decisions.
  2. Monthly Report: Prepare detailed reports summarising key performance indicators such as sales trends, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction. These monthly reports should also identify specific areas for improvement, allowing the company to focus on enhancing its overall performance and addressing any operational deficiencies
