We're seeking a talented Senior Design Engineer to join our dynamic Design & Application team. As a key member of our team, you'll engage in the design and development of critical semiconductor components and tooling, ensuring top-notch quality and efficiency. Your expertise in project management and technical excellence will be instrumental in driving our innovation and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Design Solutions:
- Design and develop schematics for precise semiconductor parts, tooling, and related components for semiconductor backend processes.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D models, ensuring adherence to functional and performance specifications.
- Lead closure of each design from initiation through completion, working with engineering/production teams for ongoing customer requests.
- Support production routing and costing.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
- Conduct in-depth analyses and simulations to ensure the performance and reliability of designs.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to validate the feasibility of designs for fabrication.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations for the semiconductor industry.
- Uphold quality control procedures and perform inspections to maintain high standards of design quality.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, procedures, report and schematics.
- Maintain accurate records of drawings and document changes as necessary.
- Coordinate with different sites to ensure timely issuance of drawings or associated documents to the production team.
Requirements:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing molds, precise parts, and components for the semiconductor industry.
- Strong familiarity with standard engineering practices and procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate engineering documentation.
- High proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other design tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with semiconductor front-end or backend processes.
- Knowledge of advanced materials and coatings used in semiconductor applications.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes for precision components and consumables.
- Proven experience in project management and cross-functional teamwork.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
