Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead cloud and traditional infrastructure architecture initiatives across the Asia Pacific region. The ideal candidate will manage a range of responsibilities, including:
- Compute and Storage Solutions
- Database and Middleware Management
- Private and Public Cloud Infrastructure Oversight
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with managers and teams to develop and implement strategic and tactical plans for service deployment within the designated scope.
- Ensure infrastructure architectures align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Work closely with internal clients to understand their needs and propose solutions that align with group strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
- Lead the implementation of the Private Cloud service portfolio in Asia.
- Drive the deployment of Public Cloud solutions in Asia, adhering to global standards.
- Partner with global product teams on strategy and vision, providing feedback on content and prioritization.
- Keep architecture documentation up to date and develop Proof of Concept models.
- Manage key transformation or integration projects.
- Represent the Asia region at architecture committees and global executive meetings.
- Contribute to product budget planning and optimization.
- Stay informed on the latest technology developments and industry practices.
Required Skills:
- A university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; a postgraduate degree is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of infrastructure services, including compute, operating systems, storage, and backup.
- Strong understanding of platform services such as databases, messaging, and container technologies.
- Proficiency in network and datacenter management.
- Familiarity with public cloud providers and their services (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Expertise in design patterns, data structures, CI/CD architecture, and agile development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-sufficient and resourceful.
- Experience building long-term relationships with internal partners.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior decision-makers.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English.
- Broad knowledge of infrastructure services, operational risks, and management methodologies.
- Experience in financial services or FinTech is preferred.
