Job Description
The successful candidate will work with Professor Wu Jishan on The Synthesis, physical properties and materials applications of novel topological molecular cages, belts and tubes under the projects on "Covalent/Metal Organic Nanotubes with Well-Defined Channels" (A*STAR MTC YIRG) and "Tunable Sizes and Towards 3D global aromaticity rules" (MOE Tier 2).
The main responsibilities of the position include:
(1) Synthesis of new topological molecular cages, belts, tubes;
(2) Physical studies on their self-assembly, electronic properties, and aromaticity;
(3) Material applications in electronics, catalysis and separation.
Qualifications / Discipline:
- PhD degree (or PhD thesis submitted) in Organic Chemistry or Organic Materials.
Skills:
- Strong synthetic skills and critical thinking as demonstrated by CV and publications.
Experience:
- Organic chemistry, physical organic chemistry, organic materials.
