Our Singapore studio is currently on the lookout for creative, passionate and experienced Interior Designers to be part of a team focused on the design and delivery of both retail and mixed use projects from concept right through to detail design and construction.
Purpose of Role
You will provide a support role to the project leader and project direction, by working as part of a team and contributing to the design and technical development and delivery of design projects.
Your key responsibilities
- Design strategy, concept design and the production of detailed working drawings, under the guidance of the project leader and others in the team.
- Actively seek and share inspiration and reference from sources outside of the business to support creative design solutions.
- Carry out research to illustrate a design direction to the clients, working with architects and graphic designers in the project team.
- Produce basic concept work using hand sketches or variety of digital and traditional media to a high standard.
- Produce, under supervision, drawing packages for schematic and detail design stages.
- Assist in assembling presentations using a variety of digital and traditional media, particularly Adobe InDesign.
- Source reference material and carry out research to ensure that materials and products are fit for purpose.
- Build knowledge of markets, our clients and their competitors.
- As directed, take responsibility for some basic project communication, including liaising with third parties and recording design team or site meetings either by minutes, letters, emails or file notes.
Your technical skills and experience
- Degree or Diploma in Interior Design or a design related discipline.
- Ability to create a concept, from a brief, under direction.
- Ability to think through design problems and have outstanding attention to detail.
- Advanced software skills, including both 2D and 3D software capabilities: Adobe Creative Suite, Autocad, SketchUp or an alternative 3D package such as Rhino.
- Revit skills highly advantageous.
- Ability to demonstrate a basic knowledge of materials and their application.
- Good communication and organisational skills with the ability to communicate to all levels both internally and externally.

- Forward thinking attitude and creative thinker with enthusiasm for learning and developing skills and a genuine interest in design.
