Operation Manager- Remittance Advice

The Operations Manager for setting up the new Remittance AdviceOperation office and will oversee the day-to-day operations of the remittance business, ensuring efficient processing of transactions, compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing superior customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of remittance services, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Manage daily operations related to remittance services, including transaction processing, settlement, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure all remittance transactions are processed accurately and within the stipulated timelines.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor transaction volumes and manage workload distribution among team members.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to remittance services, including AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations.
  • Liaise with the compliance team to conduct regular audits and ensure adherence to policies.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Customer Service:

  • Oversee customer service operations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Handle escalations and resolve complex customer issues related to remittance transactions.
  • Collaborate with customer service teams to improve service quality and reduce transaction errors.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the operations team, providing guidance and support to achieve operational goals.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Organize training programs to keep the team updated on new regulations, technologies, and operational best practices.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Implement automation tools and technologies to streamline remittance operations.
  • Work closely with IT and product teams to develop and integrate new features into the remittance platform.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, transaction volumes, and compliance status.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management within the financial services industry, specifically in remittance services.
  • Strong knowledge of remittance processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Challenge to set up the new branches and operating SOP.
  • Proven experience in managing teams and driving operational excellence.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using operations management software and tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with international remittance services.
  • Knowledge of fintech platforms and digital payment systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with AML and KYC regulations in different jurisdictions.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position, may require occasional travel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Newly set up Entities – pro-active and Set up the SOP and Capex requirements
