Responsibilities:
- Manage construction activities to make sure that compliance with cost, time, contract specification, health and safety, quality and environmental requirements are achieved; manage the development and implementation of programmes associated with project plans.
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
- Participate in the evaluation of the suitability of subcontractors.
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Liaise with subcontractors and other service providers in relation to programmes and workmanship.
- Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Liaise with the safety personnel to undertake risk assessment and develop suitable control methods.
Job Requirement:
- Minimum 15 years of construction experience with Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the PE Board or be Accredited Construction Professional B or a higher accreditation by The Singapore Contractors Association Ltd (SCAL) under the Construction Professional Accreditation Scheme (CPAS).
- At least 8 - 10 years of powerplant experience and managing construction teams for projects of similar scale and complexity.
- Familiarity with engineering software and tools
- Effective communication and relationship skills
- Knowledge of safety and environment regulations
