Job Descriptions:
- Supervise construction activities and track project progress, ensuring alignment with the master and detailed work schedule.
- Plan, execute, and monitor work schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Coordinate with the Professional Engineer regarding temporary works and ensure compliance with technical standards.
- Liaise with consultants to address technical issues and coordinate site activities with subcontractors.
- Provide solutions to technical and engineering problems that arise during the construction process.
- Guide supervisors in executing construction tasks, ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
- Prepare reports and method statements as required to document project progress and technical details.
- Manage and oversee site workers, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure risk management practices are integrated into project planning and execution.
- Maintain and update the risk register, ensuring all identified risks are documented and tracked.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential issues during the design and construction stages.
- Ensure all requirements during design and construction are addressed with suitable protection and mitigation measures.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, technical documentation, and project status updates.
- Support the project team in achieving project milestones and deliverables.
- Perform duty of a Design for Safety Professional/ Risk Facilitator Manager.
- Ensure foreseeable design risks are eliminated or reduced through the design plan.
- Ensure collective protective measures are taken to manage any residual design risks.
- Ensure all relevant information on design, construction and maintenance are available.
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior(s).
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (Certificates must be recognized by PE Board).
- Design for Safety Professional (DfSP) Certificate.
- At least 10 years of experience in Civil Engineering & Infrastructures works with knowledge and experience in construction of underpasses, ramps and cut & cover tunnel in complex projects, roads and rail projects.
- Proactive, strong sense of responsibility and good interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and dynamic with a proven ability to work in a demanding environment.
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
- Good team player with ability to lead & multi-tasking.
- Good working knowledge in project management software such as Primavera, Microsoft Projects, AutoCAD will be added advantage.
