The company is a capital markets services (CMS) licence holder under MAS. The ideal candidate for this position will support the operations team and will work with a number of functions in support of the venture capital business as well as from time-to-time support activities of the VCC and/or Fund Manager. These are overseeing corporate secretarial requirements, book and record keeping, assisting in the internal/external audit of the fund manager and funds, attending IC meetings, and overseeing preparation of investment minutes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations, transaction processing, and accurate record maintenance.
- Prepare and oversee all activities, including corporate secretary matters, capital calls, and distributions etc. in relation to the venture capital business.
- Work with accounting team to complete annual filings, quarterly reporting and both internal and external audits of the relevant funds under your oversight.
- Administration of portfolio entities in accordance with group policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, and administrators to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and audits.
- Work with tax advisors to ensure local tax filings are met. This includes, and not limited to, GST filings, statement of claims, tax incentive applications, annual declaration, corporate income tax filings, tax residency applications, etc.
- Ensure all fund related documentation is properly maintained, archived, and easily accessible.
- Actively communicate with internal stakeholders ensuring all activities comply with the applicable laws and internal policies.
- Assist in compliance related matters.
- Create and maintain company records, both electronic and physical in accordance with MAS requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma holders in law / corporate secretarial practice.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accountancy or related relevant disciplines good to have but not necessary.
- Good command of English (written and spoken).
- Ability to multitask.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- A self-starter who is organised, resourceful and able to take initiatives.
