Main Job Description:
A Team Leader in E.SUN Bank’s Information Technology (IT) department typically has a specialized role that combines technical expertise with leadership and management skills.
Leadership & Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, to ensure successful project delivery and ongoing operations.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of IT personnel.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Provide active guidance and mentorship to team members, driving their professional development and skill enhancement.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of best practices, standards, and a comprehensive knowledge base.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the bank’s business objectives and goals.
- Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
- Plan and oversee major IT projects, including system upgrades, new implementations, and technology integrations.
- Manage overall program budget, timeline, and resources to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
System & Network Management:
- Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the bank’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and applications.
- Monitor and manage system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Oversee database management, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
- Provide deep-level support and act as the final escalation point for all production support activities within the bank.
- Manage all technical activities and issue resolution of incidents and problems as required.
- Regularly review and fine-tune systems to ensure the overall health and stability of technical solutions.
Compliance & Coordination:
- Liaise with the Head Office IT Department to conduct training sessions and prepare monthly reports.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely follow-up on audit points and compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 8 years leading a technical team within the banking or financial services industry.
- With hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with experience in applying frameworks and tools for analyzing problems/issues, developing strategies and action plans
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale IT projects, system integrations, and infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and make strategic decisions.
- Proficiency bilingual as successful candidate is required to prepare email correspondence and periodic reports in English and Chinese for overseas branches and HQ in Taiwan
