The incumbent will develop new businesses with a focus on General Freight (Air & Sea) with the aim to positively impact the profitability of the Company.
- As a Business Development Manager, the candidate will hunt and develop new businesses with a focus on General Freight (Air & Sea) with the aim to positively impact the profitability of the Company.
- Proactively identify and develop potential customers in accordance with the company's objectives.
- Follow -up on leads for potential customers.
- Monitor and evaluate market trends and dynamics with the objective to identify and establish new business opportunities.
- Participate in Customer Relationship Management activities and initiatives to improve business relationships, customer retention and new businesses from existing customers.
- Work in partnership with Commercial and Operations teams to achieve service excellence.
Requirements
- Possess Tertiary qualifications.
- Experience in logistics and Freight Forwarding.
- Experience in business development in logistics/freight forwarding.
- Possess 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Possess commercial acumen.
- Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to make impactful presentations.
- Negotiation skills
- Self-motivated to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
- Driven individual
