Job Summary:
The role will provide financial administrative services to ensure the smooth, effective, and accurate operation of financial processes, adhering to internal policies and external regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseas Payments:Process overseas office staff claims and invoices promptly.
Arrange timely payments for overseas office expenses and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Supplier Payments:Verify supporting documents for supplier invoices and process payments.
Ensure supplier invoices are paid within agreed credit terms and keep payable balances current.
- Vendor Management:Handle vendor queries related to Statements of Account (SOA) and payments.
Resolve payment issues efficiently.
Manage the addition of new vendors, credit applications, and vendor bank verification.
- Reconciliations:Perform timely reconciliations of balance sheet items, including creditor accounts, prepayments, and accruals.
Maintain and account for vessel insurance and block fee amortization schedules.
- Process Improvement:Actively participate in system and process improvement projects to enhance efficiency.
- Compliance & Audit:Ensure strict compliance with internal processes, procedures, and deadlines.
Address and resolve audit concerns in a timely manner.
- Other Duties:Undertake ad hoc tasks as required to support the finance team.
Requirements:
- Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy. With strong academic results added an advantage.
- Experience:Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience, with SAP experience in a commercial environment being an advantage.
- Skills:Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
