ASSISTANT BAKERY MANAGER

Description


  • Assist in managing daily bakery operations.
  • Supervise and train bakery staff.
  • Ensure high-quality products and customer service.
  • Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Assist in developing new recipes and menu items.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors.
  • Prepare reports on sales and inventory.
  • Assist in scheduling staff shifts.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning.
  • Monitor and control waste and spoilage.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained.
  • Assist in marketing and promotional activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and expenses.
  • Provide support to the Bakery Manager as needed.


Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a bakery or similar environment.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency in using bakery equipment and tools.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience in inventory management and ordering supplies.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with POS systems.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to train and motivate staff.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial planning.
  • Passion for baking and creating new recipes.
