1. Job Purpose
The Events Manager is responsible to plan and coordinate sales & events activities for Sushisamba.
2. Principal Accountabilities
2.1 Comprehend and understand operations and general business policies and procedures of Sunset Hospitality Group so that such policies and procedures can be supported through Sushisamba Sales efforts
2.2 Identifies sales & events opportunities forecasting projected business; establishing targeted sales opportunities
2.3 Support all sales operations and general business policies when interacting with managers and employees
2.4 Develop appropriate creative and implementation sales plan within its industry, soliciting appropriate input from Director of Operations
2.5 Develop and submit as requested detailed budgets for the sales
2.6 Recommending selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand
2.7 Provide recommendations to operations and their managers for improving the quality of the stores sales programs while maintaining a positive relationship with them at all times
2.8 Achieves sales operational objectives by contributing sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
2.9 Preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change
2.10 Accomplishes sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans
2.11 Sustains relationship with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities
2.12 Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
2.13 Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications;
maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
2.14 Work collaboratively with the sales team to assess current projections.
2.15 Continually assess our marketing techniques and their efficacy in affecting sales
2.16 Stay up-to-date on current market trends. Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned.
3. Communication & Working Relationships
3.1 Works closely with subordinates to ensure information transmission at all time
3.2 Coordinates with different departments in the Head Office to guarantee effective communication
4. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
4.1 Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Events or business administration degrees.
4.2 Minimum 5 years of experience
4.3 Excellent Interpersonal and communications skills
4.4 Excellent computer skills
4.5 Strong financial planning and budgetary skills
4.6 Confident and dynamic personality
4.7 Strong analytical and project management skills
4.8 Good in Strategic Marketing concepts and creative services
4.9 Good business awareness including external markets and competitor positions
4.10 High coaching skills are a must in order to maintain the positive and supportive role with the Restaurant Managers and teams
4.11 Highly cooperative team spirit.
5. Physical Requirements of the job
The job of the Events Manager may require long working hours, frequent visits to different lounge locations.
