Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage empty container inventory and flow across Asia Oceania to prevent booking losses due to container shortages
- Support Asia Steering Unit Manager and work with the team to analyze and plan the most effective empty container repositioning
- Communicate with space controllers, stowage planners, and local offices to ensure timely execution of empty container repositioning
- Conduct weekly or bi-weekly meetings with local offices to monitor the progress of empty container repositioning and address any issues raised
- Work towards accomplishing department goals and keeping within the fiscal year budget
- Partner with other departments and teams to support in cross functional projects
- Manage ad hoc tasks/ or projects as assigned by management
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline
- At least 8-10 years of experience in container shipping
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Knowledge in MS Access is an advantage
- Proven experience in managerial roles and leading a team
- Ability to review complex information, perform comparative analysis, and make recommendations based on findings
