Responsibilities
1. Financial Modeling:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate the financial feasibility and internal rate of return (IRR) of the investment.
- Incorporate factors such as project costs, tax incentives, financing options, energy production forecasts, and revenue streams.
- Identify areas of optimisation to improve the IRR of investment
2. Risk Analysis:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential financial risks and uncertainties associated with investment
- Provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
3. Market Research:
- Stay updated on market trends, subsidies, incentive programs, regulatory changes, and industry developments.
4. Financial Reporting:
- Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate project financial performance, investment opportunities, and potential risks to stakeholders, including investors, management, and regulatory agencies.
6. Investment Analysis:
- Evaluate investment opportunities.
- Assess financial metrics such as IRR, net present value (NPV), payback period, and cash flow analysis.
- Assess valuation of assets through performance of various valuation methodologies such as discounted cash flow analysis, etc
- Evaluate or formulate business transaction structures
7. Financing:
- Support in the sourcing and evaluation of external financial partners to ensure the competitive terms and rates.
- Act as an interface between management and financial partners to review project economics, terms, and assess customer creditworthiness
8. Portfolio Management
- Monitoring and reporting the performance of existing investments
- Conduct variance analysis to assess the difference between estimated and actual financial performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CFA is an advantage
- Minimum 5 years of experience in developing and managing financial models in renewable energy industry
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial concepts to diverse audiences
- Knowledge of renewable energy policies, regulations, and incentive programs.
