Job Description :
- Adapt Group Operational Risk related policy and procedures to local operating environment.
- Facilitate understanding of ORM methodology & policies, operational risk tools and enhance risk culture through training and risk awareness sessions.
- Manage the execution of ORM solution & tools across the Bank.
- Work with business / support Units to complete Bank-wide ORM deliverables within set timeline.
- Validate risk profiles and KRI through challenge sessions and IMDC records.
- Provide risk oversight by reviewing assessments from a risk perspective
- Review, analyse, recommend and escalate operational risk issues to the respective Management Committee.
- Escalate to Sector Head if Units have not taken ownership and appropriate controls to manage operational risk issues.
- Direct bank-wide BCM implementation and develop suitable approach to ensure the bank is able to respond effectively and efficiently to unexpected disruptions and minimise impact to business.
- Provide oversight on operational risk issues relating to new products, outsourcing, processes, people and systems.
- Enable management oversight through Operational Risk related reports.
Job Requirements :
- Professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Engineering and Risk Management
- At least 6 years of relevant working experience in operational risk management, business continuity management or related role.
- Good understanding of banking business and operations.
- Thrive under the challenge of a changing, multi-faceted working environment with opportunities to value-add to the bank’s operations.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills required to develop engaging relationships with cross-functional units.
- Good presentation skills.
- Able to balance risk & controls without impeding business.
