Bayes is representing a Multinational Corporation in the Building Solutions function. Their expansion plans require a crucial hire of a Project Manager to take on the key function of applications/specifications across Fire Safety&Protection Elements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Project Management and site supervision of all jobs including cost control, manpower deployment and ensuring all jobs are completed in accordance to the terms and conditions of the contract with the employers/customers.
- Attend site meetings to monitor status of project and ensuring that interest in so far it relates to the contract with customer is protected.
- To liaise with Architects and Consultant with the ultimate aim of providing accurate feedback on the progress of works, technical compliance to specification, variation claims.
- Procurement of materials and delivery to site in a timely manner in accordance to site progress and within Project’s budget.
- Proper and timely issuance of the documentation of project including variation orders, extension of times, test procedures, minutes of meetings, purchase orders, operations and maintenance manual including final closing out of projects files in accordance to the ISO procedure.
- To coordinate necessary manpower and state of system to ensure inspections with relevant authorities and site representatives are a success.
- To provide timely information to the drafting section for the preparation of shop drawings, penetration drawings etc.
- Site coordination with all concerned parties and to resolve site problems.
- To ensure rectification works are in accordance to the specifications of the contract.
- If the need ever arises, you may be assigned any other duties in any other department from time to time.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Applicants must have 5 years of working experience in the construction or similar industry.
- Fire Safety or Protection Experience would be an added advantage.
- Computer literate and a good team player
- Ability to work independently and communicate at all levels
- Class 3 driving license will be an added advantage
