Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional Family Therapy (FFT) / Functional Family Therapy – Case Management (FFT-CM) for youths and families placed on Pre-Family Guidance Order (FGO) intervention.
- As a FFT or FFT-CM practitioner, you will have the opportunity to practice and be supervised in intensive, evidence-based family-based intervention aimed at diverting families from Court Interventions.
- You will also be required to contribute to other projects within the team, including Integrated Service Provider (ISP) and other aspects of FGO work (assessment work). You will also take charge of other administrative duties and ad hoc projects
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work/Counselling or related discipline
- At least 3 years’ experience in working with youth and family will be preferred.
- Open to learning and applying a new therapeutic model of working with families.
- Resilience in supporting clients through crises that arise during intervention.
- Able to be creative and relentless in engagement of potentially resistant at-risk youths and their families.
- Open to working flexibly outside office hours to match families’ schedules when needed.
- Open to delivering intervention to families in their homes.
- Counselling skills and knowledge of the social service landscape
- Strengths based in practice orientation.
- Able to manage complex cases independently.
