Duties & Responsibilities
• Learn and handles with all applicable job specs, piping classes, standards and working instructions that may be needed for the correct development of his assigned work
• Understanding Process & Instrument Diagram (PID)
• Develop piping studies
• Extract and verifies isometric drawings
• Coordinate with other disciplines for relevant design interfaces
• Take part in the different MTO activities
• Take part in Valves Specification Datasheet for RFQ activities.
• Develop piping studies and support definition
• Prepares and verifies Data Sheets for Special item.
• Prepare technical bid analysis for special piping items
• Generate/review piping specifications and obtain vendor quotation
• Provide material take-off and costs to project estimators
• CAD design software experience (preferably AutoCAD and Cad Worx) required.
• Provide material take-off and costs to project estimators
• Perform wall thickness calculations
• Generate Piping Line List.
• Participate in Hazop study, follow up on the Hazop action list etc
• Ensure appropriate checking and review of all documents / drawings before release.
• Responsible for the design and approval of all piping work on assigned projects, preparation and approval of project related standards and job notes
• Check piping drawing index for piping work including preparation of pipe stress index
• Design, prepare and approve general notes requisitions for piping work and special piping items
• Check and approve piping bulk requisitions and technical evaluations from MTO
Qualification & Experience Generally Required
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
• 2 years and above relevant experience. Fresh Graduate are welcome.
• Good technical competence.
• Good organizing and coordination skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• PC skills in MS office & AutoCAD Knowledge in LPG and LNG process design is an advantage.
