We're seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to play a key role in our growing company. You'll be responsible for overseeing month-end closing for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Your leadership skills will be put to the test as you guide and train the team on maintaining impeccable accounting records and filing procedures.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Oversee and manage month-end closing for various companies, including meticulous handling of inter-company transactions and balances.
- Assist with year-end audit and closing procedures.
- Lead and train the accounting team on record maintenance, filing best practices, inter-company accounting processes, and develop their problem-solving skills.
- Handle GST submissions with precision.
- Leverage your knowledge or experience with corporate tax computation.
- Demonstrate exceptional ability to work effectively under pressure and solve problems independently and collaboratively.
- Proactively manage deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP, IFRS)
- Experience with month-end closing, year-end audit processes, inter-company accounting, and a proven track record of solving accounting problems
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to train and mentor junior team members
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Quickbooks)
- Experience with GST (Goods and Services Tax) filing a plus
- Knowledge or experience with corporate tax computation preferred
- A meticulous and detail-oriented approach
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
