About The Role
This is a 12-month contract role.
You will play a crucial role in leading efforts to understand and transform business processes using process mining techniques to help uncover insights from our operational data, identify bottlenecks and drive transformational improvements
The Business Transformation Specialist reports to the Senior Business Delivery Lead and is accountable for:
• Combining technical skills with business acumen to drive meaningful improvements in organizational processes,
• Leading process modelling opportunities within the business to support process discovery and analysis.
• Acting as main business Focal point to the Integrated Process Risk and Controls central team.
• Delivering projects/initiatives that vary in size, scale and complexity across the global business with implications across the Life of a Deal (LoAD). Projects could span across the globe and across organizational boundaries within and outside the business.
• Responsible to develop, co-create, manage and deliver key business processes and controls, develop & update business ways of working and ensure these are embedded within the business as a core aspect of project/initiative delivery.
• Active member of the business global team, promoting open sharing of opportunities and seek innovative solution build across the wider community supporting business risk, data & digital and change and communications management.
• Embrace the continuous Improvement mindset within project delivery, including innovative ways of streamlining ways of working across life of a deal to mitigate risks of errors, offshoring or automation opportunities.
Job Requirements
• Experience in process mining, data analysis, or a related domain
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer science or a related field
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Visio
• Knowledge of Energy Trading Risk Management (ETRM) systems
Skills and Compentencies Required
• Strong stakeholder relationship skills, working collaboratively with business stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), including functional teams (Tax, Finance, Risk).
• Ability to motivate and drive the performance of a project/initiative team, and, even in the face of ambiguity, tease out key issues to drive the team toward solutions. Use initiative, make decisions under pressure, and maintain a delivery focus with a strong drive to deliver on commitments.
• Demonstrated ability to project manage with knowledge of project management methodologies and tools and ability to design, document, and execute processes and controls.
• Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and key relationships and ability to solve a wide range of business problems without being a subject matter expert.
• Strong stakeholder relationships & management skills. Courage and determination to challenge current practices and mindsets, challenge and influence senior leaders while maintaining effective relationships. Independent objective thinker, resilient and able to manage challenge and resistance
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the business strategic rationale and operational principles that impact decision-making processes in a high-ambiguity work environment
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to analyse multiple, large and ambiguous datasets, whilst incorporating risk and uncertainty appropriately to support decision-making
• Proven experience in analysing complex issues and making business-impacting decisions in a timely fashion
• Ability to manage own time and a demanding workload, prioritize effectively in the capacity of both leading and/or supporting roles, and deliver quality product in sometimes tight deadlines
• Ability to apply the Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset to explore innovative ways to simplify or make current processes seamless or effective in mitigating inherent risks.
