Technofunctional Business Analyst (FX)
1-year renewable contract
Role Overview:
The Technofunctional Business Analyst (FX) will serve as the bridge between the business units and IT teams, focusing on FX (Foreign Exchange) trading platforms. The role involves deep functional knowledge of FX products and the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions. The candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to improve and enhance FX systems and ensure seamless integration with other financial products and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Analysis:
- Gather and document business requirements related to FX trading, risk management, and settlements.
- Analyze and map business processes for FX product workflows, including pricing, trade capture, and risk management.
- Identify inefficiencies in the current FX processes and provide functional and technical solutions.
- FX Product Expertise:
- Provide in-depth knowledge of FX spot, forward, swaps, options, and other derivatives products.
- Understand and support market conventions, pricing models, and trading strategies for FX.
- Stay updated with regulatory changes in FX markets and advise the business on compliance requirements.
- System Integration and Support:
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure accurate system configuration, data feeds, and interface integration for FX products.
- Develop and manage functional specifications for enhancements and new FX product offerings.
- Perform functional testing and validation to ensure system changes meet business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical and functional issues related to FX systems.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the liaison between traders, risk managers, finance, operations, and IT teams.
- Conduct workshops, meetings, and training sessions with stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful implementation of FX solutions.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables for FX-related system upgrades or implementations.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of FX systems, including workflows, integration points, and data flows.
- Generate regular reports on FX system performance, usage, and any potential issues.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- FX Product Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of FX instruments (spot, forward, options, swaps) and understanding of market dynamics.
- Familiarity with FX trading platforms such as Murex, Calypso, Reuters, or Bloomberg.
- Technofunctional Skills:
- Proven experience working with FX trading systems, front-to-back office systems, and integration with other asset classes.
- Strong understanding of IT architecture, data models, APIs, and system integrations related to FX trading platforms.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and data analysis for troubleshooting and system enhancement.
- Business Acumen:
- Experience in FX trading workflows and knowledge of market risk, counterparty risk, and credit risk.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in business analysis with a focus on FX.
- Experience with FX trading platforms and system implementations.
- Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies for project management.
- Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP) or FX market expertise is a plus.
