We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to join our Application Management Services (AMS) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of SAP ECC systems. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP landscapes, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• System Administration:
o Manage and monitor SAP ECC systems, including user administration, authorization management, and routine system maintenance (e.g., system refreshes, kernel upgrades).
• Performance Tuning:
o Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and perform tuning to optimize system efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve SAP ECC system issues.
• Technical Support:
o Provide day-to-day technical support, handling incidents within SLAs. Collaborate with the AMS team on service requests, changes, and problem management.
• Backup & Recovery:
o Implement and manage SAP ECC backup and recovery strategies. Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery drills.
• System Upgrades:
o Support system upgrades, migrations, and patch management. Participate in SAP project activities including installation, configuration, and go-live support.
• Documentation:
o Maintain accurate system documentation and generate performance reports with recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration within an AMS or support environment.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ECC architecture, operating systems (Linux, Windows), and databases (Oracle, MSSQL).
• Proficient in SAP Solution Manager and familiar with backup/recovery tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
This is on an initial 1-year contract role.
