Job Description:
A. Financial Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the institution's mission and goals.
- Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Monitor financial performance, analyse variances and recommended actions.
- Advise the Management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow and policy matters.
B. Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts and manage audits.
- Ensure compliance with SIngapore's financial regulations, tax laws, and education sector-specific guidelines.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies, auditors, banks and other stakeholders.
C. Risk Management
- Identify and manage financial risks, including operational, market and credit risks.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure financial controls and safeguard assets.
- Oversee the management of cash flow and working capital to ensure financial stability.
D. Operational Finance Management
- Oversee fees collection regarding procurement, payroll, tuition, and other financial operations to optimise efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure that financial systems and processes are robust, compliant, and support current and future growth.
E. Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and mentor the finance team, foestering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and accountability.
- Collaborate closwith the Management team to support the institution's strategic mission and goals.
F. Strategic Financial Initiatives
- Support the development and execution of strategic financial initiatives, including expansion, partnerships, and new programs.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to implement key projects and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant).
- 8 years of progressive financial management experience, with 3 years of leadership role within the education sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Singapore's financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Strong business acumen, financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to be operationally hands-on and possess strong skills and experience.
