Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or its equivalent professional qualifications
- 5 years and above experience, preferably in F&B industry with managerial capacity. Audit experience is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous and proficient in MS Office, especially strong MS Excel skills.
- Able to multi-task and prioritise work scope efficiently.
- Familiar with general accounting principles, regulations, compliance requirement, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Job Description
1. Financial / Accounts Reporting
- Responsible for timely and accurate submission of P&L and Balance Sheet schedules and monthly preparation, review and analysis of management.
- Conduct variance analysis of actuals against budget/forecast and develop action plans.
- Ensure the adherence of uniform accounting practices, adequate internal controls, in accordance with the financial policies and procedures.
- Work closely with other functions to proactively manage and resolve business and operational issues effectively and efficiently.
- Manage and provide supervision and guidance to Finance staff.
- Review daily financial transaction on ERP system.
- Monitoring AR, AP including other receivable and payable, prepayment and accrual.
- Manage and provide supervision and guidance to Finance staff.
- Prepare and ensure that monthly various closing related reports and schedules are compiled and submitted on a timely manner.
- Ensure that all intercompany balances and transactions are properly reconciled monthly.
2. Statutory Reporting, Audit and Tax
- Responsible for liaising with the Management and internal and external auditors on finance and tax related matters
- Assist in tax compliance and statutory matters, liaising with statutory bodies and providing explanation on movement of accounts, filing statistics and etc.
3. Cash Flow Management and Forecast
- Assist in evaluating new business/ outlet expansion opportunities and perform analysis and audit for business acquisitions
- Direct and control all financial and accounting systems to ensure timely and reliable financial services and information flow
- Responsible for the proper management of the company's cash funds and resources and maintain a set of records concerning banking arrangements
4. Internal Controls
- Oversee Finance functions and ensure their operating effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Review financial control systems, policies and procedures by identifying weaknesses and recommending improvement
5. Others
- Perform such other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Management from time to time
